Still On The Tree When You Order, Not Warehouse Stock
Many gift fruit baskets ship produce that's been sitting in cold storage for weeks before reaching the buyer. Pittman & Davis fruit is specifically still on the tree at the moment the order is placed — picked, wrapped, and shipped only after the order comes in.
Fruit picked only after the order is placed
The fruit is specifically still growing on the tree when an order is submitted; it's hand-selected for size, quality, and ripeness and shipped just hours after picking — a concrete fulfillment timeline rather than fruit pulled from existing cold-storage inventory.
Individually hand-wrapped gift presentation
Each piece of fruit is individually hand-wrapped in gift paper before shipping — a specific, labor-intensive presentation detail rather than loose fruit simply packed into a box.
A guarantee backed by nearly a century of history
The company has operated since 1926, with a standing guarantee to replace or refund any gift the recipient isn't delighted with — a specific, long-standing track record paired with a concrete satisfaction policy.
Seasonal fall fruit varieties specifically selected
The Fall Fruit Sampler draws on fruit varieties specifically in season during autumn, such as Fuji apples and seasonal pears — a deliberate seasonal curation rather than a year-round, identical fruit mix regardless of harvest timing.
Sourced from the company's own citrus and orchard operations
Pittman & Davis has built its reputation specifically around Texas and Florida-grown citrus and orchard fruit, rather than sourcing produce through unidentified third-party wholesalers.
Independently reviewed with a strong reputation for variety
Independent review coverage specifically notes Pittman & Davis as a strong pick for buyers wanting a wide variety of fruit options backed by a long-standing, established company — third-party verification rather than the brand's own self-description alone.
