PETLIBRO Germany: Polar, Granary Camera and Dockstream 2 Compared

PETLIBRO's Polar Smart, Granary Smart and Dockstream 2 automate different parts of pet care. Polar schedules wet food, Granary dispenses dry food and adds a camera, while Dockstream 2 is a three-litre wireless drinking fountain. A bundle does not make them interchangeable or remove daily checks.

Polar is the wet-food specialist

The official bundle page describes Polar Smart as supporting a three-day, three-meal wet-food schedule. That can cover planned feeding periods, but safe food temperature and cleaning remain essential. Verify refrigeration behaviour, tray capacity and the food types permitted by the manual; a schedule alone does not keep food safe indefinitely.

Granary handles dry food and viewing

Granary Smart uses an airtight dry-food reservoir and includes a camera. Check kibble size limits and portion calibration with the actual food, because shape and density affect dispensing. Camera access depends on power, network and app support and should not be treated as proof that a pet has eaten.

Dockstream 2 addresses water

Dockstream 2 has a stated three-litre capacity and is designed for easier disassembly and cleaning. The separate filter bundle is described as an 18-month supply, but service life depends on replacement interval and number of filters. Confirm the exact included quantity and use only compatible cartridges.

A fountain requires regular washing even when water looks clear. Biofilm can form on pump and internal surfaces, while filters do not sterilise water. Keep an alternative water source available during charging, cleaning or a fault.

Match automation to the care gap

Polar is relevant where chilled wet-food timing is the recurring task. Granary is for measured dry-food dispensing and remote viewing. Dockstream 2 increases circulating-water capacity. Multi-pet households must confirm access control and whether one animal can consume another's portion.

None of these devices replaces observing appetite, drinking, litter use and behaviour. Connectivity alerts and cameras can assist, but a sick animal needs veterinary assessment. Prices and promotional bundle claims are omitted.
