CLOUVOU Germany: CleverDesk, ProDesk and MasterDesk Standing Desks Compared
CLOUVOU's three electric desk models share dual motors, four memory positions, sit/stand reminders, collision sensing, child locks and USB-A/USB-C charging in the controller. The meaningful differences are height range, lifting speed and rated load. CleverDesk and ProDesk cover 72–120 cm; MasterDesk extends from 60 to 129 cm.
CleverDesk: 25 mm/s and a 100 kg rating
The CleverDesk specification lists a 25 mm/s lifting speed and 100 kg maximum load. CLOUVOU supplies either a 140 × 70 cm or 160 × 80 cm desktop, both 25 mm thick, with a two-stage steel frame. The controller provides four memory positions, a reminder function and adjustable collision sensitivity.
This is the sensible baseline for a conventional computer setup that remains under the load limit. The 72 cm minimum should be checked carefully by shorter users or anyone combining the desk with a thick keyboard tray. A height-adjustable chair does not always compensate for a work surface that starts too high.
ProDesk: faster travel and 140 kg capacity
ProDesk keeps the 72–120 cm range and the same two desktop sizes, but its dual motors can run at 60 mm/s or switch to a 25 mm/s quiet mode. The published load limit rises to 140 kg. CLOUVOU also lists four memory positions, the reminder, four collision-sensitivity settings and the child lock.
The higher rating is relevant to multiple monitors, heavy mounting arms, desktop computers or other equipment, but the complete setup must include the desktop itself when calculating load. Speed affects transition time, not ergonomic fit. A buyer who rarely changes height may gain less from the 60 mm/s setting than someone who alternates frequently.
MasterDesk: the widest height span
MasterDesk uses a three-stage leg and covers 60–129 cm. Its controller also switches between 60 and 25 mm/s. The official page states a 120 kg rated load and notes 130 kg as test-validated; the conservative planning figure is the formal 120 kg rating. Desktop choices remain 140 × 70 cm and 160 × 80 cm.
The lower minimum and higher maximum make MasterDesk the strongest candidate for a household with users of substantially different heights. That does not eliminate measurement: elbow height, footwear, desktop thickness and any mat or keyboard tray affect the final working position.
Fit and installation matter more than the model name
Measure the seated and standing work-surface height required before choosing. Then total the weight of screens, arms, computer, speakers and accessories, leaving margin below the stated limit. Wall clearance and cable slack must accommodate the full travel range.
All three listings include cable management and built-in USB-A at 10 W and USB-C at 15 W. Those ports are suitable for modest device charging, not a replacement for every laptop's higher-power adaptor. The desktops are melamine-coated particleboard rather than solid wood, a material detail worth knowing when choosing clamps or drilling accessories.
CleverDesk is adequate where 72–120 cm and 100 kg fit the setup. ProDesk adds faster movement and the highest published load rating. MasterDesk is the choice driven by its 60–129 cm range and three-stage legs. Prices are omitted because no current offer is needed for this specification comparison.
