Happy Lamps Germany: Baby Raffi, Otto and Leo Compared
Happy Lamps turns animal figures into decorative textile-covered lamps. Baby Raffi, Otto and Leo differ in height, character and likely placement: Baby Raffi is a 52 cm giraffe lamp, Otto is a 60 cm capybara holding a red heart, and Leo is a 50 cm lion with a prominent mane. They are decorative luminaires rather than task lights.
Baby Raffi: a 52 cm giraffe for smaller furniture
The official page gives Baby Raffi a height of 52 cm and positions it for a nightstand, shelf or chest of drawers. Its tall giraffe shape makes height only part of the fit question. Buyers should measure the full footprint and leave clearance around the shade and textile body.
A bedside location makes cable routing important. The cord should not cross a walkway or sit where a child can pull the lamp down. “Baby” in the product name is a character designation, not proof that the lamp is a toy or suitable for unsupervised handling by an infant.
Otto: the tallest of the three
Otto is listed at 60 cm and styled as a capybara holding a red heart. It is the tallest selected model and the most overtly gift-themed. The textile surface and rounded body create a soft visual effect, but the electrical product underneath still needs stable placement and normal lamp precautions.
At 60 cm, Otto may work better on the floor or a low, broad cabinet than on a narrow bedside table. Check the actual base dimensions, switch position and cable length on the current specification before deciding. Height does not establish brightness or how widely the light spreads.
Leo: 50 cm with a broad mane
Leo is a 50 cm lion lamp with a large fluffy mane. Although it is two centimetres shorter than Baby Raffi, its horizontal visual volume may be greater. A shelf that accommodates a slender giraffe may not leave enough side clearance for the mane.
The product description emphasises atmosphere and character rather than reading performance. Leo is therefore better judged as accent lighting. Anyone needing light for a desk, homework or detailed reading should use a lamp with published task-light output and suitable aiming.
Compare the electrical details as well as the animal
Before ordering, verify the exact bulb type, maximum wattage, whether a bulb is included, cable length and plug for the German market. Use only the permitted lamp type and wattage. LED bulbs can reduce heat and energy use, but compatibility and enclosure guidance still apply.
Textile shades and decorative fur should remain clear of heaters, candles and other ignition sources. Cleaning must follow the maker's directions; unplug the lamp and allow the bulb to cool first. Do not wet electrical components.
Baby Raffi is the narrow, giraffe-shaped choice for a smaller raised surface. Otto is the tallest and has a heart motif suited to gifting. Leo is slightly shorter but visually wider because of its mane. Room measurements and the current electrical specification should decide among them, not character alone.
No price or promotion is included because these can change. The official pages were sufficient to establish names, heights and decorative roles, but buyers should confirm the complete technical label before use.
