A Divan Bed Built Around a Very Specific Spring Count

Mattress quality is often reduced to vague marketing language like "luxury support" without any concrete, comparable figures behind it. The Milan 4ft Small Double Divan Bed takes a more specific approach, built around an actual counted 2000-spring pocket unit rather than an unquantified comfort claim.

A genuine 2000-count pocket spring unit

The mattress is constructed around a 2000 count pocket sprung unit — a specific, countable figure that gives a concrete reference point for comparing support quality against mattresses with fewer individually-wrapped springs.

High-density memory foam layered for pressure distribution

Combined with the spring unit, 5cm of high-density visco elastic memory foam is layered on top — specifically designed to distribute pressure evenly across the body and provide genuine comfort and support, rather than relying on springs alone.

A solid timber base for genuine structural support

The divan base itself is made from solid timber, providing a comfortable, sturdy sleeping platform — a material choice that matters directly for the bed's long-term stability and load-bearing durability.

Delivered full-size, not compressed

Unlike many modern mattresses that arrive vacuum-packed or rolled for shipping, the Milan mattress is delivered full size and ready to use — removing the waiting period some compressed mattresses need to fully expand before they can be slept on.

Air vents for genuine freshness

The mattress includes nickel air vents specifically designed to let fresh air circulate within the mattress — helping maintain freshness and reduce moisture buildup over time compared to a fully sealed mattress design.

Genuine flexibility in base configuration and storage

Buyers can choose between a platform top base for firmer support or add various drawer storage configurations — from two side drawers through to four drawers — letting the bed be tailored to both sleep preference and genuine bedroom storage needs.

A specific, stated therapeutic positioning

The Milan mattress is specifically positioned as helping relieve sciatica, rheumatic and arthritic symptoms, and back pain — a stated therapeutic benefit tied to its pressure-distributing memory foam and spring construction, rather than a purely generic comfort claim.

A genuinely substantial discount from RRP

This bed is available at £379, down from a regular price of £756 — a considerable 50% reduction that reflects genuine promotional value rather than a token discount.
